Hum De Dum
Sooooo
today was...
VISITATION DAY.
And I am in 8th grade, therefore... I visited...
HIGHSCHOOL.
I had such high hopes.
But I guess it really isn't as awesome as I had thought.
I mean, it was cool, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed seeing friends and being social and all that, with the people I wouldn't normally get to be. And lunch was a whole lot better than it normally is. But... I don't know. Maybe it was the fact that we didn't get to really DO anything, except for in Keyboarding and History, which I completely would have failed, btw, had there been a real assignment. But I shouldn't make any assumptions about it until I've gotten to experience it FO REAL. I guess... herm...
Okay wait.
So it was really the first half of the day that was like that.
Because the last half, where we got to just kind of do whatever, play volley or football, eat popsicles, and socialize, was probably the best part.
^^
Well.
Yes.
I should go.
And do something useful...
... meh...

Studyhall
Studyhall
Whiteboards and blue
Tarantulas too
Musical ties
Full of white lies
Effort, Respect, and Honesty
Nobody cares
A scruffy beard he wears
Yet time races
We, of no places
Roll eyes and dream of prophecy
Dressed as you taste
The papers we waste
It's all routine
He makes our fangs glean
The flag is so easy to snatch
Drawing in ink
Oh, the things you can think
Taunting with verses
Why not rain us with curses?
They'd be much more fun to catch.
~Katie
(P.S. Yeah, it doesn't really have any form or pattern.)

Updates!
Dear me. It has been a while since my last post, hasn't it? :S
Seattle: March 16-18. My dance team went down to Seattle for a regional competition. There were at least five other teams there and we managed to get gold medals on all of our dances! :] Two of our teachers even got cash prizes for choreography. The hotel we stayed at was awesome, and we went shopping at South Center Mall. The whole shebang was really fun. ^^
Spring Break: I stayed with my mom in Idaho where she's going to College. We went shopping and saw the movie "300" (Very good movie.) ((Although there were a lot of LOTR references.)) And the best part of the whole thing... I got to sleep in!! :D
***
So.
Right now, in Keyboarding, the whole 8th grade class seems to want to change how our entire graduation is going to be run. How we are supposed to accomplish this, I have no idea. O.o But I think it would be pretty snazzy if we could switch things up this year. We might have an impact. hehehe... *devilish grin*

Oops
Oopsie.
People got kicked out of class.
XD
Anyways.
***
Tomorrow I leave for the dance competition in Seattle!! :S I'm pretty much freaked. To put it simply. But, I think it will be a lot of fun... so my dance class says anyways. AHHH.
Eh. I need some pictures of people here. Like me. + friends. ^^
Hmmmmmmmmmm.

IT'S A BEAR!
:D
wow. I'm odd.
Top Five boredom cures for when you have no technology.
5. Make faces out of different types of food.
4. Throw a small object in the air and see how many times you can clap before you catch it.
3. Run around the house/room/building and make up your own beat by banging on various surfaces. If you get more advanced, you can make up lyrics.
2. Take a sharpie, scissors, and a cheese grater to old clothes.
1. Read a book but sing what you read outloud.
Okay, so these aren't really in any particular order. Just whatever came to mind. :] Yeah...
These make no sense...
But they aren't supposed to.

Memorieeees
Lalala.
Edna is making faces at me right now.
You know what?
I want to find a whole bunch of pictures of me and her and then put them on here. Like old ones, from back in the day when our biggest concerns were who was going to play the tomboy in our dress up games. Those were the days... :]
I remember when Ariane actually liked playing with us.
I remember when 12:00 seemed like staying up late.
I remember going through the dress up box and transforming into centaurs, fairies, elves, and every other imaginary creature/being you could think of.
I remember collecting beanie baby dolls and making houses for them.
I remember jumping pictures >.^ (ten second flash)
I remember coming up with the weirdest inside jokes (oh wait, we still have those.) like HUMAN BEAN. hahaha.
I remember making forts. There was that one down in the gravel pit with all the mosquitoes. It was the coolest one we had ever made... too bad we got like 14 mosquito bites on each limb in the process...
I remember eating nectarines in the summer and then competing to see who could throw the pit the farthest into the ivy.
I remember making bark people, and their houses.
I remember how big and intimidating Visitation day seemed.
I remember making mad forts inside with the chairs in the dining room, before the new room was built, and then making up talking dog characters.\
Memories...

Blahhh.
Erm.
I am hungry. That is about the only interesting thing I have to say right now.
***
Sitting in Keyboarding class, I listen to the steady typing of my classmates and the occasional chatter, wishing this period was longer. It's the only class where we rarely do the same thing every day, and it's less noisy with the lack of seventh graders. As Mrs. Wisdom walks around monitering and helping people, I dream of the clock ever so slowly ticking it's way to 2:40. Then I try to imagine what kind of food my step mom will bring me. I'm extremely hungry, you see. Part of our History assignment was to fast. Luckily, it doesn't last very long; one meal. But it feels like it's been an eternity by the time the next meal rolls around. Which it hasn't, for me. Yet.
"Would anyone like to re-take the test?" Mrs. Wisdom asks, as my stomach gives an involuntary snarl. I give a kind of mumbled "Naw" in reply while everyone else replies in their own caveman dialogue, caused by their lack of focus on anything else but the computer screen. (At least they don't have headphones on, like the person in the same row as me who shall remain nameless. But most of us know who that is. >.^) Headphones seem to put you into another world, if there's music playing. It's like you are one with the computer. Very zen... or something. I'm not even entirely sure what "zen" is.
My back starts to ache, so I straighten up and resurface in the world we grudgingly call reality. I overhear the teacher discussing someone's blog with the student, "I go to a christian school... I come from Pluto... my favorite food is dirt..." says the student. (I swear, this is what I heard. Don't ask.) "Very good," replies Mrs. Wisdom, chuckling as she says it. I'm uncertain as to whether or not I'd like to follow the rest of this conversation.
"Alright, time to switch." The teacher says.
Or right, that's me.
Well... I'm off then.
"Coming..." I say as my friends call.

Snowy Days
So last week it snowed... AGAIN! Yayness. ^^ I think that was like the third or fourth time this winter. Of course, it all melted by last period, but it was still pretty awesome. I brought my camera and took some photos, plus threw snow around and goofed off with friends. :] It was a good day...
No photo manip. in any of the pictures.

Once Upon A Time...
... There was a blog.
Okay, I don't know.
So this is basically just a fun activity for school, a place to talk of inquisitive things, post comments, share photos, be generally creative. I think it'll be a while before I really get a hang of it, but ah well. Now I have a good excuse for using the computer!! :] *evil grin*
Hopefully I can come up with something fun and interesting to share here. I know Edna's making her own layout, so I might have to bug her about making me one...
Post more later!
Toodles,
